WWF-India Programme Centre – Resource Partner (PC-RP) under Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative has launched green diwali campaign 2026.

Key Highlights

1. Campaign urges citizens to celebrate cracker-free, clean and green Diwali.

2. Special focus on 130 cities covered under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).

3. Target groups include schools, colleges, educational institutions, resident welfare associations and local communities.

Green Diwali Pledge

Citizens are encouraged to:

1. Avoid firecrackers and motivate others to do the same.

2. Use diyas and energy-efficient lights.

3. Avoid single-use plastic.

4. Segregate waste.

5. Choose locally made products.

Objective: Reduce pollution and waste during Diwali while encouraging sustainable lifestyles and greater environmental awareness.
