Recently, the Vice-President of India, Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, had inaugurated KAUMARACON-2026 and launched digital initiatives of the All-India Institute of Ayurveda.
The Institute was celebrating its 10th Foundation Day, and inside its auditorium, doctors, researchers, and students from across the world had gathered for KAUMARACON-2026, an international conference on Kaumarabhritya, the Ayurvedic science of child health.
The theme this year is Shaping the Future of Child Health.
He then launched the AYUSH Start-up Portal, AyuDIVA facility, the Vamana App, and the Panchakarma Assessment App and witnessed an MoU between AIIA and Maharishi International University, USA.
He had one strong appeal: “Research must establish the scientific basis of our traditional practices. Only then will the world accept Ayurveda, and only then will patients trust it completely.”
Ministry of AYUSH
It is noted that the creation of the Ministry of AYUSH in 2014, the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar, and collaborations with ICMR, CSIR, and AIIMS were all steps toward integrating that wisdom with modern science.
